This thread is for everyone to make suggestions for improving the Church Farm site (the physical one, not the virtual one). It doesn't matter if they are big or small, just post them in here. I hope that this will give me some insight into what to do with the place.
I think that normally people don't really feel like saying what's wrong, be it either inappropriate or just impolite. But feel free, I don't mind.
I've already made some decisions, namely:
1. We aren't going to have any more sleepover fights, or at least not nearly as many. Maybe on or two a year. This is because they are very inefficient. Last time we did almost nothing on the first day, and it was really boring. Then we had the nightmare of cooking and the horrible mess that you all left in the mobile (thanks a lot, I had to take all the plates and stuff back when Piers buggered off). It's just not worth it for the small amount of fun and discomfort we get. Also, people manage to break their guns on the first day and lose all their things in the mobile.
From now on, we will be having skirmishes from around 9AM until about 6PM. This gives us a lot more skirmishing time and a lot less mess. It means that everyone will arrive ready to fight and having already eaten. It also reduces the number of meals from three to one.
2. We are going to move away from the farm area even more, and spend the whole day at the woods. Last time, speedball sucked and the fields were even worse. Having a full day at the woods means everyone will have their stuff there, and we can orchestrate things a whole lot better, and have planned games. If we're going to have speedball, then we should make a location either in or adjacent to the woods.
You may or may not like the new style, but I think that's best. Of course, if you strongly disagree, then say so.

I agree that in autumn and winter it is better to have one day fights because of the fewer hours and it would be much easier also people won't be forced to scrub the mud off the kitchen floor with a pair of james's boxers just to watch everyone walk it back in the next day. maybe we could now have more fights as they will require far less organising
I also agree with the decision about speedball it was shite at the last fight the fights in the woods are far more enjoyable but I think it needs more work on these areas:
1. the forest itself more fortifications, clear some areas as will explained to me. As Will said we need materials so far we have tires from the speed ball and we have a large pile of fence posts. If you have anything we can use to build with tell us in this thread. Ill start my dad has some old wood behind his shed we might be able to use that if i can get it to the farm
2: game types it is boring just walking around trying to kill each other. we need new ones.
Can we have overnight fights in the summer? because there would be longer hours and maybe we could camp in the forest? (we could leave "Piers" tied to a tree and see if he is still there in the morning)
I have just come up with a possible way of building up defences. if you tell each team the area where their base should be then you could tell them to buid their own base. This would motivate the each team because if they didnt do any work then at the skirmishes it would be futile tying to win. do you get me?

In my opinion sleepover fights are fine as long as you have plenty of time on either side, i.e. time to prepare before and time to recover afterwards. I don't understand why we only start at 1pm - if we started at more like 10am we could get two days of solid skirmishing in quite easily, it's just that by the time evryone has got ready it's already about 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I also think that the food went suprisingly well - almost everyone was self-sufficient for breakfast and lunch and apart from the tidy-up (which can be improved) I thought that Piers' supper was excellent.
Just my thoughts...

yes it didn't taste of the rabbit at all (only joking it was very nice)
but i still think allthough the food was nice it is quite uncomfortable and with it getting dark so early everyone stays inside the mobile for a long time compared to summer. Also in summer it would be so much easier to clean and keep clean

Those are some good points. I think in summer we will do two day fights, especially in the holidays, but we camp in or near the woods, so we spend the maximum time there. From now on, I think we'll just have people take all their stuff down there and prepare, rather than crapping up the mobile. I'll try and sort out a better dead zone, with tables and flat surfaces, and stuff to stop living people coming in.
Another thing about the dead zone (i.e. under the bridge): It is NOT a safe zone! That means goggles on at ALL times. Because we will be doing pretty much 100% woodland, I'll try and get some more facilities down there. We could buy some second hand portacabin for cheap and set up a working (or at least semi-working) shitcan. This means that people can also eat in there and I can use it for administration and briefings. That would be the safe zone, so guns would have to be mag free, cleared, safetied and a thingy put over the barrel. Obviously, it is unlikely that we would have anything like this any time soon, but it may be possible in the future.
After Christmas, Brenda should be buying a quad bike (a farm one, not some gay racing one). We are hoping to stick a trailer on the back and use it to transport all the equipment back, and some people (obviously, you can't cram twenty people onto it.)

that would be useful for transporting materials and tools too. i looked in my shed today and i dont have much materials inside but i do have lots of tools such as a saw (cutting kind not machinegun) and a hammer and a sickle and some hedge cutters and a whet stone (sharpens things)

who likes my idea of making each team build its own base? your going to give briefings in a second hand portaloo?

Yes, it's a good idea.
Not in the portaloo you fool! In the portaCABIN. There's a difference. The portabog is for shitting.

Well I hope you won't be offended if we leave you to work out the logistics of getting a portacabin to the woods and then setting up power and water...
It makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

there is a gate at the bottom of the small hill but you would drag it through and it would sink
instead of a portacabin you could just buy a shed it would be cheaper and you could take it down in bits
for the portaloo you could put a water but on the roof and use rainwater (but only flush turds as it would run out of water)

Yes a shed would be easier but there's still no way you could get power to it which would be essential if we were to start spending nights in the woods...

all you really need power for is cooking, heating and light. in summer it would be warm and we use gas cookers to cook and torches for light.
also what happened to that old generator?

As far as I know the generator is still haggard, and we would need electricity in the woods for charging guns.

Team Shovel have the bridge as their base but team humbdingers need to decide on the location as their was a lot of confusion last time here is some satellite imagery courtessy of google earth for you to look at
