One of the next improvements we will be doing to the farm is powering up the mobile home (it is currently completely cut off from everything). To do this, as Will Dendy said, we would need at lease 16.5A cable, preferably 23A. I personally have no idea how long it needs to be, but I'm saying 100m, maybe even 150m. That costs money. The benefits are that we have a warm, dry place to sleep during the winter, and somewhere close to the games where we can charge batteries and reload. It also potentially is a local power source for floodlights for night fights, and may even serve as a kitchen. May. The downside is that is costs lots of money when we could just sleep in tents, and I have thought of a few good reasons why the mobile would not be suitable for a reload station (besides the AIDs). Basically, Will Dendy and me can't afford this by ourselves, which is why we are open to donations, and there is now a CFA donation box (albeit a virtual one). Do not feel obliged to give money, not at all. It just helps in the upkeep and improvement of the site (especially since you play for free). All funds received go directly to improving the site, and will not be used by me to buy new guns. But seriously though, anyone who doesn't donate will be sleeping outside. Just kidding. But not really.

so where is this 'virtual donations box?'
And at the weekend we can pace out the distance from the nearest electrical outlet to the mobile to get a rough idea of the distance. we can also work out whether it would be possible to hook it up to the main fusebox in the dairy.
Getting the gas working in the kitchen would be another matter completely - we might be better advised to just get a working fridge and a microwave, plus a camping stove. Then we get on to running water..........

The virtual donations box is in our hearts and minds. The real donations box is the box inside my safe, but feel free to register intrest on the site.
That is a good idea, it would be much better to do that before buying cables. But maybe we shouldn't use a wall socket to run a whole load of crap off, and possibly wire it up to a fusebox.
There is a fridge in there, I don't know if it's working. It probably just needs a lot of airing out and sterilising. Microwaves are aplenty at the farm, as I have a camping stove, and I think Brenda does too.
We could TRY using the gas, as there are so damn many butane tanks lying around the farm (there must be at least 10), and there is a nice gas pipe coming out of the mobile. May not be the safest thing around, but it's probably worth a try. Running water is very very nearly impossible. That has to be plugged into the main water pipe to the house/farm yard (I presume), and then a pipe all the way to the mobile. Not really worth it when we can get loads of bottles.
Brenda did suggest moving the mobile, but I think that would be very difficult, and I don't know where else we would put it.

If she is willing to have it moved she might be willing to have a professional wire it up for us as well...
And I think if we tried the gas we might all die. ;D

Thanks Piers, that is much appreciated. That picture really made me laugh! ;D I think when she said "move" she was thinking along the lines of drag it along the ground with a tractor. Which in theory is possible seeing as it has wheels...

yes but you would need a crane to lift it off the concrete blocks and onto it's wheels...
And while we're at it I really doubt the tires would be able to take the weight of the mobile now.
