Yes, but the LSW is even cooler and more massive, plus no-one else has one, which surely makes it a better choice? Plus we need some more british-looking loadouts on the field - I am feeling quite lonely at the moment...

get the BREN becuase it's british and awsome. Just don't get confused and buy a STEN because it's crap and can't hit anything more than 10 feet away.

just to clarrify about the lsw. if its the star you may as welll burn 500 quid at least. i almost bought one(but i got a minimi instead) because... well, its not a support weopon, as it is a standard l85 witha longer barrel, and it ways a ton, and you would have to buy a whole new georbox for it to be anygood.
but if it isnt the star....GET IT!

At the moment Star is the only company that makes them.
What charlie said is right and the army is phasing them out in favour of minimis for that reason, but hey it's and SA80 and that makes it cool, and if you can afford to buy one, replace the gearbox, and buy alot of hi-caps for it, then it's fine. It's just that most of us can't! ;D

ye but it cant takew an auto winding box mag, and is too long, and not as intimadating, also i love my star minimi and just wont a more realistic one

Well technically it can take an S-mag, which the army trialled in the late 80's but decided not to use because it made the gun too back-heavy and difficult to carry. I would also argue that it's sheer size makes it intimidating, and even if the long barrel does make it completely useless for support fire, it does make it one of the most accurate guns in it's class.

you cant have a too accurate support weapon, hence all support weapons (apart for the minimi) have "elongated" barrels.
good example the RPK, a long ak with a drum mag
The only problem with the lsw is that its bullpup and so is nea impossible to have a bigg mag
